Our Fitness Challenge is a bi-annual event begins every January and August; it is a 16-week challenge in which participants with a BMI of 25.0 or greater compete in a healthy lifestyle transformation contest. Contestants meet three times per week for trainer-led group workouts and once per month for individual nutrition counseling with the dietitian. Pre- and post- measures are taken, and the contestant with the most significant losses overall in areas of percentage of weight loss, body fat percentage, circumferences, BMI, resting heart rate, and resting blood pressure, as well as increases in muscular strength and muscular endurance, wins the challenge. Prizes include, but are not limited to, a 50% refund of entry fees, 10 free personal training sessions, a free 60-minute massage from Kathryn Nore, LMT, and a complimentary hair cut and color from Ali Duncan at Tangled Up Salon. This is over a $600 value, but the cost of the program is broken into four installments of $125.
